Is anyone else pissed off that Truth and Reconciliation Day is only for Federal employees?

The Canadian Government and Christian church are directly responsible for the atrocities of the residential schools against Indigenous people. So then why the hell are Federal employees getting this day off? The day was created for reflection and to learn more about the tragic history of the residential schools. Federal employees get a full paid day to do this but everyone else will have to participate in their free time. I don’t think I’ve ever been this disappointed in a government decision.
