How to prepare to eventually become a snowbird

I’m looking to retire in 10 years. I’m not neccesarily opposed to working part time, possibly remotely in the winter time, but I would rather like to plan as though I do not have to actively work while being somewhere south in the winter months. What advice would someone who does not work have for someone like me? Are you living off savings, off of various investments? Do you perhaps own rental property where you rent in the summer and live in it during the winter? How would you suggest I steer my ship for the next 10 years to hold my own and perhaps take advantage of different options? via /r/PersonalFinanceCanada https://ift.tt/3BpCGSO
