Has anyone used their stroller bassinet as a bedside bassinet for their newborn?

We got an Uppababy Vista v2 stroller with the bassinet attachment included. When the baby comes, can we just park the bassinet stroller (with the wheel lock on) next to our bed while we’re sleeping until we transition him to his crib? I just don’t think getting a second bassinet specifically for our bedroom makes sense, especially since they grow out of them after ~4 months?
