Homelessness is getting bad.

I live north of Toronto, so ever since the outbreak, I haven’t had much reason to visit the city. Yesterday afternoon, I decided to drive through downtown for a little change of scenery. Guys, I don’t recognize the city anymore. The homeless is getting bad. I was especially affected by this one kid, maybe in his early 20’s, wearing nothing but a hoodie and track pants in the freezing weather, shaking like a dog. I offered him a snack for which he was beyond grateful. It’s not fair. For those that work in social services, what can we do at this point in time to actually help these individuals in need? I have a bunch of old clothes that I’ll be more than happy to donate. Are there organizations that work directly with the homeless by going through the parks and handing out basic supplies? I also wouldn’t mind volunteering on the weekends if that opportunity exists.Hopefully someone is able to kindly advise.Happy New Year. via /r/toronto https://ift.tt/3bsFTqN
