Coming from London, UK. I’ve been waiting for years to revisit Toronto after visiting when I was 11 with my parents. Here is the quickest overview of things good and bad.Stayed in Leslieville (Dundas Pape) and Roncey Village (Boustead Ave Indian Rd). They are genuinely some of the most beautifully wonderful neighbourhoods I have visited in my life.The food was outstanding. Highlights were Gold Standard, Carousel Bakery, Busters Sea Cove and Maker Pizza. All recommended from you guys.The Islands are the best getaway. I couldn’t believe people live there, what a life! Houses must be expensiveSaw the Jays on Loonie night and The Rogers Center has such a massive choice of food and drink (Vegetarian, Vegan, Kosher, Healthy choices, the list could go on). Plus it’s the easiest stadium to navigate. Every stadium in the UK (mainly the old ones) are a nightmare.Beer choice is world class. The amount of microbreweries is overwhelming.You guys all have dogs, like every single person has a dog. Plus every dog is a different breed and gorgeous. Like you love dogs so much you have a fountain dedicated to dogs.Your weather is so unpredictable it’s impossible to plan anything. (That storm a few weeks ago was terrifying and came out of nowhere).Toronto Zoo is currently TERRIBLE. Biggest waste of a day, everything is shut. If you are a local or a tourist I really don’t recommend going in it’s current state. I remember it being an awesome memory as a kid.What is the deal with all the crackheads about? There genuinely seems to be so many unhinged people about on the streets.TTC is very hit and miss. Someone actually got stabbed on a subway train we were on at Broadview and it pretty much brought the city to a standstill, queues for the shuttle buses were INSANE.Anyway, I had the best time ever and I can’t wait to come back.
